
The DLC tracks are all drawn from the history of the series, remaking and remastering them for the most recent game, though as many quickly pointed out, not completely overhauling them to match the original Mario Kart 8 aesthetic. In order to get the DLC tracks, you will need to have update version 2.0.0 installed, and then head to the Nintendo eShop store to find the DLC. That’s quite a sweetener when you’ll need Switch Online in order to play these tracks online anyway. However, if you subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online: Expansion Pack, then it is bundled in with your sub. These will be delivered through six waves of eight tracks (two cups) each spread out over the next two years.
